Intuitive - Ever since she was a child, Victoire possessed an innate ability to read other people. She was highly observational, often slow to warm up to new people because she preferred to listen than speak. As she grew older this quality proved to be both positive and negative. Her ability to rely on instinct instead of just logic has been particularly helpful in moments of crisis (for example, at her job as a Healer). She has also always been highly empathetic because she could pick up on how others felt rather easily. However, those that did not know her well could get the impression that is soft-spoken or guarded. Additionally, Victoire did not find it easy to verbalize her own emotions to others, particularly when angry or upset. She would often use humor or simply become quiet as a means of deflecting, and found it much easier to express herself through writing.
Thrill-Seeking - The manner in which Victoire seeks adventure has changed over time. When she was younger she was frequently nursing scrapes and bruises, the result of climbing tress that were too tall and jumping from heights that were too high. Once she started school Victoire found a similar pleasure in confronting intellectually challenging situations. Problem-solving, particularly in high pressure situations, provided her with that same rush of adrenaline that she'd grown to love. It was for this reason that, upon hearing a Healer describe their job as "solving a series of riddles, one after the next" that she decided to pursue Healing as a career.
Perfectionistic - When Victoire was young, her father repeatedly made it a point to reinforce that people would make assumptions about her based on her appearance, and that she needed to prove herself as an intellectual because of this. Victoire was incredibly serious about her studies, particularly when it came to subjects that she knew she would need to master as a Healer. She was extremely hard on herself when she failed to meet her own expectations, and in her mind was often comparing her own accomplishments to those of her peers. Even after leaving Hogwarts, Victoire carried this same seriousness and perfectionism with her in her work. She struggles to forgive herself when she makes mistakes, both in her job and her personal life.
Playful - Because of how much anxiety she can experience about her job, Victoire tends to rely on humor as an outlet. She finds that she gets along best with those who share her sense of humor. It's a subtle and dry sense of humor that is usually reserved for people who know her well. Victoire often expresses love and affection through teasing or referencing shared private jokes. She admittedly also uses humor as a way to distract from how she feels when upset. The more observant of her friends and family might notice that she tends to make self-deprecating jokes when she is angry or disappointed in herself. She tends to save the anxious thoughts for herself, and express herself out loud with levity.
History
Victoire was born on May 2nd, the first child of Bill and Fleur Weasley. She barely remembers what it was like those first few years, being an only child, as when she thinks about her childhood most of her memories revolve around her siblings and cousins. Dominque was born when Victoire was three, and Louis when Victoire was seven. Her parents always remarked about how much Victoire came alive around her siblings, how much they brought out her adventurous and playful side. As the Weasley clan continued to grow, Victoire certainly had her moments of being overwhelmed by the size of her family, occasionally seeking out moments of quiet by burying her head in a book or daydreaming in a quiet corner of the house. It was with mixed emotions that Victoire headed off to Hogwarts at age eleven, both fearful of leaving her family and excited for a new adventure to tackle on her own.
When Victoire was sorted into Ravenclaw, she was distinctly surprised and disappointed. She'd heard story upon story form her father, aunts, and uncles about their times at Hogwarts in Gryffindor house -- so much so, in fact that she hadn't even considered she could be sorted into a different house. She promptly wrote a frantic letter home asking her parents, "does this mean I'm not brave"?
Over time she came to feel at home with her Ravenclaw peers. She threw herself into her studies with a natural passion for learning. Victoire was the type of student who struggled to force herself to study unless there was a true love for the subject fueling her efforts. She therefore excelled in certain subjects, and managed decent marks in subjects that did not interest her. Fairly early on in her time at Hogwarts, she developed a fascination with the art and science of Healing, and her fascination with Potions and Charms class only continued to grow.
Socially, Victoire felt most comfortable around her small, tight-knit group of friends at Hogwarts. As she entered her teenage years, her father made it a point to emphasize to her the importance of having her guard up around boys. This was a complicated issue for Victoire, as she was a hopeless romantic at heart (and how could she not be, having observed so many happy and long-lasting relationships in her family). She dated here and there, but never developed enough of a connection with anyone to feel it was worth it to pursue a relationship.
Things changed suddenly one summer day at age sixteen, after spending the majority of the summer in France with her family. Victoire had missed her cousins dearly, and was thrilled when she learned there would be a Weasley family gathering on the day of their return. It was at this gathering that she suddenly took notice of family friend Teddy Lupin in way she'd never noticed him before. He'd always been like a cousin to her, though growing up they'd never been particularly close. For some reason, on this day she found herself blushing in his presence, stumbling over her words as she told him about her summer. He'd aged well, and she couldn't help but take notice.
Victoire and Teddy began dating sometime before her seventh year, and she fell head over heels. As much as she hated to admit it, she loved having a partner, someone to lean on at every turn. They managed to make a long distance relationship work over the course of her last year of school, and as their relationship grew over time she found herself contemplating their future. Victoire couldn't quite pinpoint it, but at some point around the time she was twenty, the warmth and excitement she felt when thinking about their future was joined by a new emotion -- fear. He was the only person she'd ever loved, but even so, what if she was settling down too fast? She wasn't interested in anyone else, but she feared the idea of prioritizing romance over the other parts of her life that she cherished. Perhaps it was the dread that she would amount to exactly what everyone who didn't know her would expect -- that she'd marry, have a family, and be content in a quiet, domestic life. It wasn't as if they'd even discussed marriage yet, but this irrational fear overtook her nonetheless. Coupled with the stress of their early careers, this fear forced a distance between them. After they broke up Victoire found herself regretting the decision every single day, because she still loved him. Friends and family tried to comfort her, telling her the feeling would pass, but it never did. Victoire had always struggled to express how she felt out loud, so she tried her best to shove this feeling down as deep as she could.
All the while, she completed an intensive training program to become a Healer -- what she would describe as both the best and worst experience of her life. She absolutely loved the job, but the minimal sleep and stress was difficult to cope with. When she finally completed her training, she was placed in the Spell Damage ward of St. Mungo's. With the gravity of the recent political climate weighing on her, Victoire took her job more seriously than ever. A pacifist who strongly sided with the Reformists, she knew that this was her way of contributing to the cause as best as she could. Healing and protecting was in her nature, and that was one thing she knew for sure.
